Happy customers of Spot Blue who bought a villa in Fethiye through the firm earlier this year and who are now looking for a plot on which to build their dream retirement home were featured in the Mail on Sunday on 18th August.
In April this year surgeon Phil McLoughlin and his wife Shanti, who live in Fife, bought a four-bedroom detached villa in the village of Ciftlik, near Fethiye, through Spot Blue. They decided soon after that while the property is large and in a desirable area, it’s not their dream retirement home or in their favourite location, so they’ve put it on the market while they search for a plot in the nearby Uzumlu Valley. The Mail on Sunday was interested in their story so featured them with a picture of the couple with their two sons.
Buying property in Turkey is nothing new to the McLoughlins. In 2008, they bought an apartment on a small complex in the resort of Yalikavak on the Bodrum Peninsula. They paid around £65,000 for it.
“Spot Blue works hard to raise its profile as a reputable and leading property agency, and having clients in the national press for the right reasons is testament to this,” stated Julian Walker, director at Spot Blue. “The McLoughlins are a real pleasure to work with. Seeing them ‘discover’ and fall in love with Turkey, and then progress from their apartment to today wanting to build their own home is very satisfying and we’re really enjoying helping them to realise their plans, in safe and efficient manner.”
